God is orchestrating such a special blessing for those that attend this 2010 Winter Summit. There are several "Featured Speakers" (that every attendee will hear from the ballroom stage) listed on the pages below. Workshops speakers are listed under a separate tab.
Cheryl Lange:

Cheryl is a homeschooling
veteran with nearly 30 years experience.
Bill and Cheryl were pioneers in the modern HS movement, deciding to
educate at home three years before they even first heard the word
“homeschooling.” They have educated all five of their children at home, three
already through graduation. After losing Bill to cancer 9 years ago, God
provided miraculously so that Cheryl has been able to continue to stay home
with their children. Cheryl is passionate about choosing to educate rather than
school children. Her heart is to encourage parents to think long-term and
disciple and educate children for the adults that they will become in 30 or 40
years – building character, vision, relationships, and a love of learning that
transcend childhood and adolescence at home. In addition, Cheryl has taught
numerous Bible studies and women’s retreats. She is the director of Lodestar
Ministries (www.LodestarOnline.com) and heads the homeschooling ministry
Educating For Life. She continues to equip and encourage families through the
website, blogging, recording teaching CDs, support group meetings, conferences,
and consulting.
"Re’shiyth – Raising Children of the Fire"
As
a homeschooling mother, most of your life is focused on the day-to-day, trying
to juggle baskets of laundry and trips to the grocery store with phonics
lessons and algebra problems.But
there are bigger battles out there, Babylons your children must face - as
adults or maybe even right now. What
does it take to be someone who walks through the fire? How can you prepare your
children for that?
Roxanne Parks:
Raised in Oklahoma City,
Roxanne graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Petroleum
Engineering. She worked in the oil industry for 10 years both in California and
then in Midland, Texas where she met her wonderful husband, Bryan. They have 4 children (ages 20, 19, 17 and 15) and have been homeschooling for 11 years. She
has been in leadership of the “Fellowship Co-op” (formerly the Edmond
Homeschool Co-op) for 5 years. She has spoken to over 100,000 people
in 4 countries and throughout the USA as a business and motivational speaker. God planted a seed in her heart 9 years
ago that the state of Oklahoma needed a homeschool winter retreat to encourage
mothers in their journey as she has been so encouraged throughout her own
journey. She was a cheerleader in junior high, high school and at the University of Oklahoma but feels most called to be a true "cheerleader" for those that come into her life. She is grateful to be a part of what God is doing in the homeschool
community.
“The
Transforming Power of Perspective.......Claiming His Promises for Good” Phil 4:8
says that we are to dwell on ”the good” (paraphrase). Rom 8:28 says that all
things work together for “the good”... We know that He created everything and
then on the 7th day He said “It is good”. Help! Am I missing something? Why is it that there
are times that I don’t feel so good about the journey to which I've been called? Realize the choice you have to transform your perspective therefore
transforming your life.
Peggy Stewart:

A retired
homeschooling mom, having served the industry well over a period of 22 years,
teaching my 5 kids and a few others along the way, I am immensely enjoying this
chapter of life with my husband as empty nesters. As my husband has known the
calling of God as a song writer and worship leader for just nearly 40 years of
our journey in faith, he and I are thrilling to our leisure to worship nearly
nightly in the intimacy of our living room. In this rich setting, we are
seeking to make ourselves available to God for the fulfillment of His purposes
in this next phase of our lives. God has graciously knit us together with other
dear like-minded ones, and "as one man," He is teaching us in
experience to seek and find Him with our whole heart.
"Rest in
the Revelation of Royalty"
As our
Eternal Father, God has superbly designed normal life as His sovereign choice
for the backdrop of His Homeschooling experience planned for us, His children
in Christ Jesus. God is timeless, and we as His royal offspring are as well.
Through faith in the finished work of the Lord Jesus, our Father calls us out
of ourselves into the mystery of royal rest in Himself as the Eternal King and
the Excellent Teacher. He is infinitely able to communicate His truth and
accomplish in us what He has foreordained for us as daughters of the King.
Dana has
been married to Dan since 1990. They have 5 children ranging in age from 1 to
18 years, including a daughter with cerebral palsy and hearing impairment and a
son with autism who is visually and hearing impaired. Dan and I have served as
OCHEC trustees since 2006, and I've been OCHEC Secretary since 2007. I led the
H.O.P.E. Homeschool Support Group from 2001 until 2003. I've spoken at Ladies'
Retreats throughout Oklahoma, led ladies' Bible studies, and taught parenting
and Bible classes at the Crisis Pregnancy Center in Lawton, OK. "Out of His Glorious Riches" Can I be
"Royal" and not feel like it? What are these "Glorious
Riches", and will they help me keep the laundry caught up? I believe the
answers are "yes" and "YES!" Come with me into the King's
Treasure Room where He has promised we will find everything needed for life and
godliness.
Sheri Yates:
Sheri
spent most of her life chasing empty substitutes for God. She tried to get her
worth and value from things and people.
They always left her feeling empty. As an abused child, she is
passionate about the body of Christ being set free from blinding lies that
prevent them from walking in the Truth of Who they are in CHRIST.She has found that knowing
who you are in Christ enables you to boldly live every day without shame or
guilt!Sheri is a wife and mom of
three and in her 3rd year of "officially" homeschooling. She writes bible studies and loves to
disciple young girls in Christ in her free time.
"The Great Battle"
You are this great mother. You have it altogether. After all, you bake the family bread. All of your children are kept clean and mannerly. You greet your husband at the door each night with his slippers, but...what? That's not the way it goes, and we all know it! Yes, I want to be all those things, but then the baby is crying. The kids are behind in school. I am lonely, and I feel like a failure. My best friend, Suzy, has straight-A kids. The pressure is more than I can handle. That is when I lose it! What do I lose? The Great Battle. I wind up reacting out of my flesh rather than the Truth, the Spirit and the voice of God! Daily we are all in The Great Battle, a battle between our mind and emotions and the Spirit of God. Join me to enjoy Three Secrets to winning The Great Battle - every time!
The speakers below are workshop speakers. They will be listed under the "workshop speakers" tab.
